Care Guide
Care instructions - To get the most out of your Blu. Cookware.
How to care for your Blu. cookware.
Clean cookware
before use
Before using your Blu. cookware for the first time give it a clean with dishwashing detergent and hot water.
Avoid temperatures
over 250°c
Avoid overheating the pan, as the excess heat will lower the performance of the non-stick technology.
Metal utensils?
Best to avoid them
To protect the non-stick surface, avoid metal utensils and never cut food in the pan directly.
Do not submerge
when hot
Do not submerge or pour cool water over a hot pan.
Hand washing
recommended
Ensure your pan is always cleaned carefully after use.
Take care
when storing
Be careful when storing, the inner surface is ceramic, so edges may chip if cookware is hit against other hard surfaces.

The Nitty Gritty
Before using your Blu. Cookware's non toxic pots and pans for the first time, remove and recycle all the packaging. Blu. packaging is made from 100% recycled paper pulp and it can be recycled over, and over, and over again.
Clean the cookware with dishwashing detergent and hot water and then fill it with 1-2 cups of water. Boil the water 2-3 times to remove any production residue. Then, remove the boiled water (because - for obvious reasons - we probably wouldn't recommend cooking with it).
The hard anodised aluminium body is a strong conductor of heat and will heat the non-stick surface quickly and evenly, saving energy and time. If you are cooking on an induction cooktop please be aware that your Blu. cookware has a full induction base. This means the magnetic connection between cooktop and cookware is incredibly strong. As a result the pan will heat very quickly. Please always start with a low heat and monitor your cooking to avoid burning your food.
To ensure your Blu. cookware continues to perform as it did when you first purchased it, avoid overheating the pan. Excess heat will lower the performance of the non-stick technology and reduce the non-stick qualities of the pan over time. Temperatures above 250°C should be avoided.
Do not use steel wool or scouring pads when cleaning Blu. cookware, and steer clear of aggressive and abrasive cleaning agents. Avoid metal utensils and never cut food in the pan directly. **As there are no toxins used in the creation of Blu. if the pan surface is scratched, or chipped it is still safe to use.
To ensure the non-stick surface continues to perform as it did when you first purchased it, do not submerge or pour cool water over a hot pan. Let the pan cool down before cleaning (also because we'd hate for you to burn yourself!).
Ensure your pan is always cleaned carefully after use. Food residue that isn't removed can, with further use, affect the non-stick surface's performance.
To prolong the cookware's life, we recommend hand washing your Blu. products. Use a mild dishwashing detergent, warm water and a cloth.
If cooking with a large amount of fat, dairy or sticky sauces, we'd recommend using the bamboo brush included with your cookware to clean any excess residue.
If you do place your Blu. cookware in the dishwasher, be careful of the edges of the pan as they will often be the points that come into contact with other items in your dishwasher. As the non-stick coating is ceramic, like a ceramic bowl or plate, it can chip if knocked too hard.
If the non-stick does chip, your cookware will still be a-okay to use as no harmful toxins are used to create Blu. cookware and the aluminium is hard anodised so it is completely sealed and will not leach.
Please note that chipping and scratches are not covered about our warranty as they are considered normal wear and tear. As no toxins are used to make Blu. extra care must be taken to protect the non-stick surface.
Always ensure your pans are clean and dry before storing them. Avoid placing any thin or sharp edges inside your pans. As the non-stick surface is ceramic you may consider adding a piece of paper towel or a tea towel between each cookware piece if stacking to avoid scratching the surfaces or chipping the edges. Keep in mind that the surface of the pan is still safe if scratched or chipped.
