What are Carbon Emissions?
Carbon emissions are basically the stuff that gets released into the air when we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. Think of it like the smoke that comes out of a carʼs exhaust or a factory chimney. These emissions are mostly carbon dioxide (CO2), which isnʼt great for our planet. They trap heat in the atmosphere, kind of like a big, invisible blanket, making the Earth warmer. This whole process is what we call climate change, and itʼs messing with weather patterns, melting ice caps, and even making some places more prone to wildfires and floods.
So, cutting down on carbon emissions is like taking off that heavy blanket to help the Earth cool down a bit! But we know that creating emissions can be hard to avoid... so what then?
